Safety Notes: This winch mounting plate is intended for cargo handling purposes and should not be used as a recovery method for the vehicle it's mounted on. Safety is our top priority. To ensure safe use, follow these precautions:

1. Always follow the winch manufacturer's guidelines and safety recommendations.
2. Regularly inspect and maintain the winch, mounting plate, and all associated components.
3. Use appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and eye protection, when operating the winch.
4. Maintain a safe distance from the winch cable during operation to prevent potential hazards. Typically, and as we recommend, you will use a wireless winch operating remote. 
5. Stand to the side of the rack when pulling or unloading.
6. Be cautious of your surroundings and the environment to prevent accidents.
7. Avoid overloading the ROCK-IT rack beyond its rated capacity. Max rolling weight pull capacity is 2500 lbs. Consider how much weight is loaded on the ROCK-IT rack with existing mounted Roof Top Tents and accessories.
8. Only use the winch for the intended purposes, as described in the product manual.
9. Do not use the winch for recovery or towing of vehicles; it is not designed for this purpose.
10. Immediately cease operation if the rack in any way moves from its mounted location. Evaluate and remove load in safest way possible.

Additionally: Any load pulled with the winch should be assisted with the use of ramps and wheels to ensure smooth and controlled movement. Again, capacity is rated in ROLLING WEIGHT pounds.
